Business iOS17 may no longer supports iPhone 8 and X, and Control Center will has major adjustments

Netizens who had before accurately revealed the design of the Dynamic Island revealed on the MacRumors forum that Apple plans to make "significant" adjustments to the Control Center in the iOS 17 system. The anonymous netizen said that iOS 17 will focus on improving performance and stability, with relatively few changes in the system UI, and the control center is one of the few changes.

The first system with a control center function was IOS 7, which was first released on September 18, 2013. Ten years after the launch of the iPhone, the control center finally ushered in a major change on iOS 17.

Besides, Apple''s iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 software updates are expected to drop support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, the first-generation 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and the fifth-generation iPad.

If that is accurate, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will not be compatible with most devices with the A11 Bionic chip or older. The only exceptions are the 6th and 7th generation iPad models with the A10 Fusion chip. And the  2nd generation 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with the A10X Fusion chip.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 17 during its WWDC 2023 keynote on June 5. And as usual, the first beta should be released later in the day, inviting developers to test it.
